I’m not a big fan of lists. They can be overwhelming and very often boring. But, some lists are better than others because they provide a window into our health. Here’s an example. A survey of family physicians revealed the top ten diagnoses they made last year and it can tell you what bothers most women. Number ten, urinary tract infections. Number nine, sore throats. Routine physicals is eight. Depression, seven. Bronchitis, six. Sinusitis is five. Upper respiratory infections four, and the third most frequent diagnosis? Elevated lipids. Number two diabetes. Number one? High blood pressure.
