The FDA's Proposed Changes

The Food and Drug Administration advisory panel certainly set the medical world on its ear by making recommendations to lower the available dosage in Extra Strength Tylenol and other acetaminophen products to 325 milligrams. There is definitely a positive angle to this recommendation. Unintentional acetaminophen abuse is the leading cause of preventable liver damage.
The FDA claims that they have tried to warn people about the problem but to no avail. They hope that this move as well as others to limit or actually stop production and sale of certain acetaminophen containing products (Percocet, Vicodin etc.) will also make a difference. I have one major warning.
Use this latest FDA recommendation to realize that other products like ibuprofen may also be over used. in the case of ibuprofen there is a fear of kidney problems. All drugs from every conceivable group contain risks if used at higher than recommended dosages. For more information, check out http://www.mymedicalreports.com/.
