Ragweed: The Scourge of late Summer!

When you are a child the end of the summer is met with the horrible feeling that school is in session for another year. But, all kids get used to school and many are surprised that they actually enjoy learning! Nevertheless, there is another problem for many that is far more difficult to deal with--ragweed allergy. You know who you are. Each year you suffer from the itchy eyes, the sneezing and the loss of sleep. The discomfort can be highly frustrating. But before you turn to the medicine cabinet try some simple steps. The first is to use common sense: exercise in early morning or late in the day. Keep those windows rolled up and the air conditioner on while driving and do the same thing at home. If you need to turn to medications talk to your doctor or pharmacist about options that are non sedating. There are many that are over the counter or prescription
